k, I found and watched La Haine.

Enjoyed it very much.

There were a few scenes where I found myself thinking of Do the Right Thing.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
My heart hopes for Hubert to out of that situation at the end. See's him getting a grant to start up a new gym, and maybe even out of the projects. But my mind has its doubts.

I don't know, I don't do Hulu since I have no cable package to use to log in with.

Where did you find it? If you downloaded it I would love to know where from because I could never find it without subtitles...

Septien was a really weird movie. That song they sung is stuck in my head and the scene where the brothers lick the nipples of the oldest brother who is wearing their dead moms dress was almost traumatizing.

I don't watch nearly as much weird fucked up shit as I used to, but here are a few that traumatized me sufficiently to be remembered through the haze of the years:

Necromantik & Der Todes King, both directed by Jörg Buttgereit, who has one of the most insanely awesome names of all time and is an auteur of the most fucked up order.

Fingered, directed by Richard Kern. A throwaway storyline, Lydia Lunch and some seriously fucked up psychosexual violence.

Tetsuo, the Iron Man, directed by Shin'ya Tsukamoto. Surreal low budget science fiction film about a man who is attacked by some sort of virus that turns him into a garbage cyborg.

Split, directed by Chris Shaw. More low budget science fiction, reminiscent of "Dark Star", with a few strangely effective visual effects.

Liquid Sunshine, directed by Slava Tsukerman. Still more low budget science fiction. Aliens become addicted to human endorphins.

Thanks, dude. I'll cross that one off my list.
