expect eviction notice.

About 12 years ago, my dad and I brought home a new, state of the art SONY home theater system, plugged it in and decided to watch Heat. 30 min later the cops knocked on our door demanding to see the gun shot victims..

Possession is totally demented. I'm still trying to decide if we're supposed to take the world of the film as "reality", or if it is supposed to represent the internal landscape of the characters. In other words, is it all in their heads? I wish I'd seen a clearer copy - I rented the Korean DVD release. It's the full 127 minute cut, but the image and sound were quite murky. I never really got a good look at the creature, for example.

It's definitely a movie that would benefit from multiple viewings - unfortunately I didn't find the experience sufficiently pleasurable to want to repeat it!

that miscarriage scene reminded me of the anal **** scene in irreversible

also isabelle adjani is smokin. or close to it if her boobs were bigger. she's like a much prettier cher or shelley duvall

The miscarriage scene bored me to tears. I wound up fast forwarding through most of the breakdowns experienced by the characters, as there were easily 4 or 5 different scenes of somebody flailing around moaning and screaming, probably >20 minutes all told.

Yes, Isabelle Adjani is smoking (or was in the early '80s). It never would have occurred to me to compare her to Shelley Duvall, but I kind of see your point.

I watched Source Code over the weekend...excellent movie. Duncan Jones is my new favorite director.

I just wish they hadn't bothered with the coda...if they'd ended it on the train it would have been one of the most exquisite finales of all time. As it is I felt like the "true" ending was a sop to help people who were confused by the "alternate reality" elements.

people who are into "possession" (and other artsy horror) are to check out an english language (spanish production) called "anguish" (1987). it's pretty intense and interesting.

when will you fools learn that steven soderbergh just got lucky with "sex, lies and videotape"? you realize when you go see his movies you just encourage the studios to let him make more of them?

i once heard that he was going to make a film version of "a confederacy of dunces", and i swear to god i was suicidal for months afterwards (it ended up being a vicious rumor).

Out of Sight, Oceans Eleven, The Informant, and Traffic are all very watchable movies.
