LA Confidential is a great movie. I haven't watched it for years - I should make sure that I do.

Having never read a Goosebumps novel, I found the film starring Jack Black surprisingly easy to follow. Highly recommended 6/10.

The Bourne Identity

"How could I forget you?  You're the only person I know".

I see the new one is coming soon.  I am anticipating being disappointed.  I hope not.

Cheers,

I really liked this film. Even though it's 4 hours long, every minute was quite a fascinating existential immersion into 1960 Taiwan from the perspective of a teenager involved in night time gang affairs, adolescent romance, and familial uneasiness.

9/10 really enjoy it, hard to really compare it to modern movies but that's one of the reasons i loved it

6/10, rewatching it made me realize how much CGI had improved and the movie looks really bad in that department, comparable to b-movies of 80s. I still like vampire movies, but this certainly looked better when I was a teenager. Also other than vampire shit it was full of action movies cliches.

8/10 speaking of b-movies, this one is just bad enough to be good and shows great tits, I can barely ask for anything more

Just re-watched Harvey (1950) after several years. Almost forgot I had it in the library. A delightful good-natured film that would leave a smile on your face. I still keep this movie just for Elwood's intelligent social commentary:)

Here's a favorite scene:

File source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Tangerines_film.jpg

Set in an isolated Georgian village where an orchardist and his friend an elderly carpenter are struggling to bring in a crop of Tangerines against the shadow of a regional war. Their lives are thrown into turmoil with the arrival of the war on their door step and then taking in two wounded combatants from opposing sides. What follows is a deeply moving story about men, war, human relations and the transcendence of hate. Have to say that this is one of the best films i've watched this year, highly recommended.

Caught the last few minutes of Taxi Driver.  DeNiro is scary good in this one.

Cheers

Catch all the movie. It is a masterpiece, and DeNiro is just brilliant.

Oh yeah...  I've seen it many times.  Surprising how it holds up over time.  The low tech touch adds to the drama.

Cheers,

Reminds me of The Deer Hunter. I remember seeing it for the first time (like 7 years ago) and being blown away (sorry bout that pun). Deniro was awesome in that too, and so was Walken

The most intriguing thing about this fillum is that they were provided with the opportunity to make a second.
