What Movies Are You Watching Lately - Page 893

ending was lame

I think another knock on him is that his movies are all pretty much the same concept and style, little variation or growth between his early and late films, you've seen one you've seen them all

they are pretty entertaining though

Yeah, I don't get the veneration for him either. He's not bad but he's not in the top tier of movie makers if you ask me.

I rewatched Pulp Fiction a few days ago, and it struck me that the humor there is almost exactly like the humor in Seinfeld. Kind of an odd connection, but that's what I felt. (I do enjoy both.)

Reservoir Dogs is probably the best one in my opinion, I like Jackie Brown as well

Tonight I am watchin "Spectre" , the previous Bond was pretty good.

Jackie Brown was a big disappointment for me.

Jackie Brown is maybe my favorite QT flick but not his best imo...

made me think of my current most-viewed list (no particular order):

Jackie Brown

My Fair Lady

Amadeus

Five Summer Stories

Lampoons Christmas Vaca ("I wasn't talking to you")

Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction standout works of cinema as for the rest Meh!

Last night

Solid performances from a great cast, good story with enough twists and emotive engagement to keep you glued to the end.

Super uneven.

First half is like all those crappy 90s Bond movies with bombastic music, stupid over the top stunts, etc.

Second half tries to get back onto the new Casino Royale grit vibe and partially succeeds.

It is better than QoS at least.

Trick'r'Treat, don't you agree it's delightfully, slashery gruesome?

Drag Me To Hell, basically ditto, less slash more peril, though.

Sinister, now that's just undelightfully gruesome to watch.

Cabin In The Woods, talk about some really unexpected twists. (At least for me, others saw it coming all the way, I'm sure.)

Blade Runner 2 is in the works.

meh another remake, so lame
Not that I have high hopes, but I don't think it's a remake. Is it?

The problem with making a blade runner followup...is that you probably have to answer the human/replicant question once and for all.

Or I suppose you could just ignore it and/or have an unrelated story set in the same world.
