What Movies Are You Watching Lately - Page 884

Just saw "The Revenant" last night. I'll give my opinion in three words: SKIP THIS TURKEY!

If you know anything about the history of the old West or the actual story of Hugh Glass, you will despise it. I just talked to my dear friend Mike Venturino, who knows much more than I do about Indians, Mountain Men and their rifles and the region where Glass was mauled, and his reaction was exactly the same as mine.

I've heard mixed responses on The Reverant.

But I don't think a movie has to be historical correct to be good. If the story, acting and direction is good, the movie is good - even if it is full of lies.

I'm looking forward to watch this.

Yeah, I don't think most people are looking for authenticity with Revenant. Gonna see it, because of the acting, directing, and revenge/survivor plot.

Have always enjoyed this. 14 year old thought it was 'ok', but was impressed with Kirk.

Not a bad by-the-numbers dramatisation of the famous and insane expedition. Good family fare.

I was obsessed with Thor Heyerdahl and the voyage of the Kon-Tiki when I was a kid. Distance was so fascinating.

Had no idea there was a 2012 movie. The documentary and book are great.

I would not describe The Way as hip.

Unless maybe I missed a memo.
