Concussion

Predictable.  The actor who played Mike Webster was very good.  Alec Baldwin does well.

Enjoyable movie.  There were 5 other people in the audience.

Cheers,

Agreed. I would like to see it again.

Gosh, David Stratharin can really own the role.

It also wins points for its sang froid in terms of male costumers both in the desert and the urbane formal scenes. A fantastic film.

slightly off-topic, but the book -although quite different than the film- is excellent as well.

The Hateful Eight 70mm roadshow... eh... even for Tarentino it was prurient for the sake of being prurient and over-the-top in its self indulgence, especially the first half. But it was still beautiful, some good performances, an interesting enough story and some at-times excellent dialogue.

Anatomy of a murder - Otto Preminger (1959)

Semiboring and too long, but nice acting from James Steward.

New Years Day

SMOG the stunt sequences are completely over the top. That said its a completely different film to the original which I liked. Thought the original better in terms of its narrative exposition and character development.

Found the ending to this version a bit limp. But one hell of a film visually.

Surprised at how dull The Revenant is.

I've really come to dislike Iñárritu's style of filmmaking.

You bite your tongue. Not allowed to comment on it until January 8th when it comes out here...unless I want to watch it tomorrow...no I'll wait

Creed better then expected but probably still 3rd or 4th best film of the series. Michael b Jordan is coming into his own.

Legend. Good raw performance from hardy as always.

Watching by the sea now.

Underwhelming in part because this film revisits and relies a lot on similar themes and subplots from the previous films

Yes

Some serious plot holes, but I enjoyed it. All punches land 100%.

Slow (of course) but short, sensitive and funny, I liked it. Fassbender and Ben Mendelsohn are solid. I want to watch Frank and Macbeth too.

Does Disney have the power to make Star Wars crossover with Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy?

Go watch Bone Tomahawk instead. A better looking and more coherent revenge western. With a twist.

Why not both?
