Was better than the prequels, can say that much.

Well, that's damning it with faint praise!

Just tried about 10% too hard. Wanted to scream out "WE GET IT" in the middle of the film. Some of the people I was with HATED it, but I think they expected too much. Still has to be a kid-friendly movie, not just for the nerds who have read every extended universe novel.

I think you guys are being a little harsh. Low to mid 8s. Only one gripe from me but I think it will be answered in the next film.

Watched this mainly because I liked the poster (also Colin Farrell) and it ended up being great. Premise is absurd - "Single people must find romantic partners in 45 days or be transformed into beasts and sent off into the woods." but it is really well done. Very unique film that makes me want to see more from the director. Dogtooth is next.

Wild Tales is a collection of black comedy short stories from an Argentinian director. The stories aren't connected but share themes of predation and revenge, and play out in interesting and entertaining ways. Another really well done film.

Yea the lobster had a really weird plot. I liked it but thought it was a little too slow.

Ford, John Ford.

This was really good if not a little disturbing at times. There is one weird scene that seems a complete non-sequitur in which the guy's parter is praying to Mecca in a short clip… completely unrelated to the plot, never had been a mention of Islam in the entire movie and then this random scene. Considering it's a Danish film I found this odd.

Finally watched this … pretty cool.

The Searchers is amazing filmmaking. Saw Hateful Eight last night, fucking fantastic. Have to think back but might be my favourite film of 2015. More to come.

Can't be your favorite film of 2015 if it's release date is 2016.
