What Movies Are You Watching Lately - Page 807

Saw The duellists earlier this year, loved Keitel performance. This afternoon I watched Amadeus again and enjoyed it again. Then I watched this spanish comedy, a little jewel of absurd humor

Recommended, especially if you can see it in original version. 4/5

UNFORGIVEN Clint Eastwood's excellent 1992 western which he directed and stared in. Great cast Cllint, Morgan Freeman Gene Hackman and Richard Harris. Great story of the fall from grace of rehabilitated gunslinger and some visual nods back to his spaghetti western days, bruatal realist example of the western genre. First time I have seen it in 20 years, (the joy of cable) would have to rank it alongside The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence as my two favourite westerns. 5/5

Foxcatcher was very inaccurate according to Dan Gable, Kurt Angle, and other wrestlers who were close to the situation. That's why I haven't bothered seeing it.

Great movie. I love how there is no clear cut bad guy, or good guy.

Yes, it's a great film.

"It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have."

Watched Unforgiven again as well.

I fucking love Unforgiven, and this scene in particular.

Clint gets angrier and angrier then a minute in he grabs the bottle of booze and takes the first drink he's had in 10 years. But it's so underplayed and without any big fanfare or music coming up or some witty catchphrase you just know he's now preparing to cross a line from which he won't be coming back.

'All right, I'm coming out.

Any man I see out there, I'm gonna shoot him.

Any sumbitch takes a shot at me, I'm not only gonna kill him, but I'm gonna kill his wife, all his friends, and burn his damn house down.' lol
