definitely. and as said before, its a long one. make an evening of it with the lady in your life. if she likes that kind of movie.

And make sure you're watching the director's cut, because the original theatrical cut makes no sense at all and is terrible.

I watched the whole series back when it was re-airing on A&E in the '90s. Good stuff.

The original theatrical cut is the director's cut. It's unrated. I actually saw it in the theater when it first came out. There was one released specifically on video that was rated R that is the one to avoid.

I guess it's not the 'original' theatrical cut, but the one that was originally released in the US was cut down to around 2 hours from over 4 hours. The European version was longer, although apparently there is an even longer one that was screened at Cannes in 2012. I'm pretty sure the one I am thinking of is the European cut.

There is an even longer version that was supposed to come out in theaters last fall but that didnt happen. They found 19 more mins of film I guess.
