I watched The American earlier today, I thought it was really good. In the middle of watching Kingdom of Heaven, right now. I watched Face/Off, The Thomas Crown Affair, Blood Diamond, and Inception this past week.

I liked the first one, the others....not so much (the only reason I like Reloaded is because of Monica Bellucci).

The Class. I felt it portrayed a classroom quite well- albeit the teacher seemed like an asshole.

Watched RED over the weekend and thought it was a lot of fun. Plus: Mary Louise Parker.

Been lurking in this thread and very happy with the recs.

Over the last 4 weeks:

3 Days of the Condor - I never get tired of this.
Long Kiss Goodnight - Samuel L. has some great lines in this.
The Town - Loved it, but I'm a sucker for all heist flicks.
Despicable Me - Did not like.
The American - Loved it.
Wall Street II - Terrible.
Touching the Void - Amazing story.
The Other Guys - Laughed way more than expected.
Moon - Easily my favorite Sci-Fi film in recent memory.
Easy A - Underwhelmed. As said before, the parents are awesome (and totally unbelievable as real characters).

In Queue:

Red
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest
The Road
The Extra Man

Face/Off = The Definition of Rad Thomas Crown Affair - New or Old Version? Blood Diamond - This was surprisingly better than I thought it would be. Inception - Pretty Rad as well.

Waiting to see The American. Somebody at work whose opinions I loathe didn't like it, so I am anticipating good things. The Town was pretty good.

The Road - Wow is that a sad movie. On the other hand, it's nice to see that somebody has made a motion picture of what society will look like in thirty years. Long Kiss Goodnight - I can't believe how many people on this forum have watched this movie in the past month.

The Disappearance of Alice Creed - fantastic low budget kidnap goes wrong thriller. Eddie Marsan nails it again.

Carlos - Brillaint (originally tv) 3- parter (not the redacted version). Based on stories of Carlos 'The Jackal's terrorist exploits around middle-east and Yurp. Superb actin'.

I was interested in Red for a sec. as someone mentioned The Malk. Then I saw on IMDB it has Willis in it. I don't think I'll bother. Also the plot sounds shite. This format or variation thereof needs recycling every year or so, I suppose.

^ I've been meaning to watch Carlos but I just don't have the time. Definitely will be downloading it. If you liked Alice Creed, you might like Tamara Drewe.

Fallen for Almodovar. Late to the party, but loving his particular genius. Five in, quite a few to go.
