Here's Richard Burton, in one of his furs . . . Liz loved him, in pelts . . . she ordered many furs, for Mr. B., during their marriages.

I'm starting to feel a little deja vu-ish here. Do you like it, in pelts?

These commas, I would know them, anywhere.

No commas. Just fur.

Men and women have probably been wearing fur since the beginning of time.

Just like any other piece of clothing, if you find a coat that is right for you, it will look good, whether you`re or man or a woman.

I like your attitude, Dragon. I think maybe this February, I'll go shopping.

This is very true.

That lamb thing above must be the ugliest article of clothing I've ever seen.

On-topic point: Yes, I'd take the coat and have it recut for the woman of my choice. I'm very pragmatic like that.

I am strictly against fur, because it is foppish, decadent and - most important - won from cruelly breed/cultured (small cages with wire floor, etc.) or killed (baby seal, etc.) animals.

"coyote" fur: this is also won from/mixed with dog/cat fur.

I would love a mink lined coat - either a cashmere overcoat or a trenchcoat. i have a friend who has one, and I would love to have one.

my wife has a full length mink coat, as do my mother and sister.

globetrotter . . . my sister's mink lined coat, is in charcoal cashmere. The mink inside, is black. I don't have a photo of K., wearing it . . . quite a spectacular garment.

I would love a coat, lined in mink, too. Not sure I could find such a coat, around Chicago . . . the gray coat that I found for my sister . . . pictured earlier in in this thread, was purchased from New York. It was the only one of its kind in the United States, in my sister's size.

Ivaclav, aren't you missed elsewhere?

26 oz wool melton on the outside, sheared mink or beaver on the inside- A coat suitable for the worst Chicago or Twin Cities winters. In this it's more of "form follows function" as fur on the outside of a men's coat looks foppish at best, pimpish at worst and a fur lining traps more warmth than a fur shell.
