I have eaten meat. I have worn leather shoes. Even plants are alive, when they're pulled from the ground, to be harvested. Fur coats are very warm; some say as much as six times warmer than cashmere. Depending on one's 'eye,' some furs are considered to be quite beautiful. For me personally, the glamour and romance of an outstanding fur on a woman . . . is truly spectacular. But, others disagree. As for myself . . . I've never worn a fur . . . but if I lived in a truly frigid climate, I'd have one.
I should add too, that being 51 years old, fur has always been part of fashion as I've known it. My mother had furs, her friends had furs ... my female relatives had furs. Back then, especially for an evening out . . . it was considered stylish and fun, and something of a privilege, for women to wear a mink coat.
