Quite. And if this does not prove that women move in mysterious ways, I don't know what does.
(I got them at a significant discount, for those rainy days, btw.)
((The shoes, I mean))

Only had these a couple or so months and have already had countless compliments and a few have placed orders with Cheaney.

Just wore my Cheaneys after a long break.
They are now 11 years old.
I've kept them nice with mink oil over the years.

Finally retiring this shoe that lasted 9 years of daily wear. DAILY.

Land's End Suede Buck.
Bought on sale for $50 in 2012 or so.
Easily my most workhorse shoes I have ever owned.
The toe started to separate from the rubber sole a few months ago, and now its done.

Gladly, back in 2013, I bought a spare $50 pair that I've been saving.
Here is to another 8 years !

RIP my $50 Land's End Archer Classic Buck (2012-2023)

I wore them 4x a week for over a decade.
In 2021, when the soles separated, I crazy glued them back.
But they came apart again and I decided to retire them.

I ordered a spare backup pair back in 2013 for $70
Each year, I could not believe the original pair was still going strong.
I've been storing the backup pair for over a decade and now it's time to unbox them.
Had I ordered a 3rd pair, it would have taken me into retirement.

Here is to another 10 years on the $70 pair!

Ludwig Reiter three eyelet Derby in suede.
Current suede model has four eyelets. This
essentially the model in grain, but mine have
rounder toes. They are 15 years old . Still
look very good.
