I have not read it yet as I understood it got poorer reviews than his other books. It seemed that it was more of the same confusing/pointless Murakami narrative but on a shallower level. That said, who knows, critics are assholes. I will pick it up eventually.

I am more excited about 1Q84 (untranslated into English so far). It's gotten pretty fantastic reviews over in Japan.

Hard Boiled Wonderland is by far my favorite of his books. I also don't see why it couldn't be made into a movie. I mean, Being John Malkovich got made...
