This was interesting... Ill save my comments for the SW&D thread, but there was definitely some eye openers here...

I look forward to MrSam's upcoming use of these photos.

Many solid efforts in here. I was pleasantly surprised.

I'm not going to make individual critiques, but overall, one important thing that the SW&D guys have going for them generally is a useful degree of restraint in color, accessories, and texture.

Aeglus gets SW&D props whether he's wearing a suit or a cropped leather with skin tight jeans tucked into androgynous-status high boots. I dunno if he posts those fits over here but it'd be interesting to see the reaction going from suit one day to that the next.

Kunk, Aeglus, and Nil....is there really any other option? I like PinkPanster's style, but even that is a little too close to looking like "MC does SW&D"

I posted my comments in the SW&D thread, but for discussion I'll repeat some of them here:

That said, one consistent theme was that many of you picked the same, Mad-Men-lite, type of look. Nothing necessarily wrong with that, but it does require a lot of attention to precise detail and when small fit or style details are off (and MC is pretty neurotic about noticing these details), it throws off the overall look. My favourite looks did something a little different: aeglus always brings an edge to his MC looks, and this one is no different. Great stuff, very cool. He's a bit of a ringer in the contest though, as he regularly posts in MC. kunk's Jil Sander (it is Jil Sander, right?) is very internally congruent. Eason was the best of the Mad-Men-esque entries, but stood out from many others by using a more modern and interesting interpretation of that aesthetic rather than trying to duplicate it. He also gets marks for making a (very!) full break look pretty decent by having the right amount of taper. If I only had to pick one look, though, I'd pick Desi. Fresh, vibrant and engaging. Not classic MC style, but the best interpretation of the look to suit your forum's values, I think. I certainly enjoyed the ideas on show here.

I like that there's a lot of variety in which fits people are behind. I wouldn't have predicted Nil getting the kind of love he has but in retrospect I see why. Though I was deluding myself that anyone would really challenge Aeglus.

I like most of these. Are MC people doing streetwear next?
