I'm helping a friend set up his television/dvd/stereo.
It's a nice room with nice furniture, and we're able to hide the cable box and dvd player inside a cabinet.
The trouble is that the infrared from the remotes can;t penetrate the cabinet doors.
I'd heard a bit about "repeater systems" to carry the infrared signal, but when I last heard of them they were $350+ (more than I want to spend.
Are there cheaper models available?
Are they a giant pain in the ass to program and work with?
Any alternatives out there?
