This is what I would end up doing - I love cars, but any list would be full of qualifications and exclusions.

Porsche (pre-996/986 platform)
BMW (really, it's looking like pre-van Hooydonk)
Rolls-Royce (pre-BMW)
Bentley (post-VW)
Honda/Acura - consistently solid, and every once in a while something special (S2000, NSX)
