I don't get it, do you wear all your now too small clothes hoping they'll stretch?

My 31 ns fit perfectly on my 38 waist after a couple of ardious months, may have to go down to 30s once they actually fit.

Is that how APC works? I had no idea. Tell me, did you, too, size down three?

Now imagine going down two sizes... now imagine three.. how the hell anybody thinks this is an acceptable way to size jeans is beyond me.

For example, in OP's case:

A size 32 APC NS measures a 34" waist. Sizing down two alone (30) gets you back to your true waist size (32"). Going down 1 more from that (29) would be a 31" waist. APC stretch at least an inch in the waist, so on paper a size 29 actually seems like it could work for him after a few days to a week of continual wear.

Obviously you need to account thigh measurement/etc because jeans that are painted on your thighs and ass but loose in the legs are going to look terrible.

I can say from experience that I am a measured size 30" waist, and I wear a size 28 Petit Standard. They were uncomfortable for the first few days, but fit me perfectly now. Granted I have skinny legs (which is why I'm wearing slim tapered jeans) but I would be swimming in my tagged size (30) APC. My size 28 APC PS aren't super skinny on me - for that look I would have had to go down another size, and they would have worked. APC stretches quite a bit.

I'm a size 30 waist and I wear a 29 in 3Sixteen because the measured waist of a 30 is 31".

All I'm saying is I don't think it is absurd to size down in certain brands. Naked and Famous Skinny Guy has to be bought true to size. Obviously you're not going to size down on a lot of the jeans sold at Self Edge, but even 3sixteen can be sized down 1 size.

Sizing down 2 in APC gets you back to your normal waist size, how is sizing down 3 absurd?

I feel like I'm missing something here. My head hurts, I think I'm gonna go lie down.

or go back in a time machine to the 70's when super tight denim was in fashion.

but really my advice would be to buy jeans your actual size that fit you. Not jeans that you can squeeze your ass into if you exhale and not drink water for a week.

It's a stupid idea that spread like wildfire. e.g Just because a rubber band can stretch 10x it's original length doesn't mean it should be pushed at it's limits. Fit pictures further aggravates this misconception

Is there anything I can do to loosen them up in the thighs/ass?

Yea, sell those and buy a new pair since you've gained weight.

You are applying way too much thought then the OP deserves homes. Yes that would make sense except that dude (Who very well may be some sort of sleeper troll) neglected to account for this 20 pound weight gain. So ignore APC sizing smokescreen but read this thread more like: Help I gained 20 pounds how can I make pants that worked when I was 20 pounds lighter work now!! Which again should have been the title of the thread title as well which almost makes it sound like tightness is some sort of mysterious secret property of raw denim.

Really? I read this thread more as "So I've been in the gym, yeah, I'm squatting for highschool football... squatting!!... all muscle, thighs like a linebacker..... a HUGE!, jeans busting 20 inches all around...oh, by the way, my APCs don't fit... and did I mention that I've been squatting?"

stop taking superpump & size-on.. after 4 weeks you will be less aggressive and be slimmer while still maintaining some of your muscle mass... but still have all your strength!
