Exercise: walk my dog, lift heavy things that others cannot lift... that's it? Diet: Well, I kind of stopped eating breakfast altogether when school got busy. Lunch too, although when I have time I would go home and finish leftovers* *Leftovers would consist of mostly what is dinner from last night. Usually rice and some meat, hardly any veggies. I rarely eat fruits. I started snacking a lot (being in a relationship can really alter your diet especially when living together). I ate stuff that I do not normally eat i.e. diary as I am lactose intolerant. I'm 5'10 and probably 150lbs (last known weight) Perhaps 155lbs as of today but really need to double check. I use to be at about 145lbs without a gut. Body fat% Unknown Goal? Just to shave off the midsection. And as stated, I use to lift or at least hit the gym on the regular the past 4 years or partook in some sort of activity like basketball.

Regularly playing basketball again would take care of it, probably. High-intensity interval training (HIIT), which basketball arguably includes, also would help. So would lifting weights. Getting enough sleep is good for metabolism. The current diet is okay, if it includes regular meals.

that looks like a giant combination of "healthy foods" eaten in excess. i think this is a big dieting misconception - they eat a ton of "healthy foods" (great example - fruit for dessert) and wonder why they get fatter, or more skinny-fat. the breakfast alone is far beyond my own daily carb intake.

if the dude is happy eating it, then sure... beats the hell out of fast food i guess. same foods, different quantities, then you're talkin.

Some people do okay on high carb diets. According to themselves. I never minded them but I never put on weight. Anyways, since the diet guys are here and I'm in uni...

My macros are at
25-30 Protein
20-25 Carbs
50-55 Fat

Is this a good place to start? FWIW I'm getting more than 2g/lb a day protein to support my lifting
(Which I guess shows you the amount of food I'm eating - 5Mcal a day)

I do the opposite of carb diets, i try to stay away from carbs and use omega 3 fats with lots of meat and vegetables. Although I've got the stereotypical asian metabolism where anything I eat is fine. Kajak, that looks like a good place to start, and then you can always lower carbs for more protein if you want to bulk up
