More pockets in the office:

What style has more pockets and looks presentable at work? Traditional business wear is lacking pockets, and the pockets are small. Any suggestions for a semi-professional looking style for carrying more gear? I like carrying a few things with me every day, and to have them handy in my pockets: my pocket knife, my wallet, my cellphone, my pen, memory stick, leatherman micro and so on. I like leaving my bag in my office and not having to carry it with me always. Any ideas for a look with more pockets, but not so casual it looks sloppy? It needs to look semi-professional, but it doesn't have to be traditional business wear either. Field Jacket Can the "field jacket" replace the blazer or sport coat at work? Cargo Pants: Some people here might think that cargo pants are "out of style", but designers teach that good design is "form and function". Practical is never out of style. But can cargo pants be in an office and not look 'sloppy' ? So what options are there? Let's take a look around: Military tactical assault clothing style looks a little out of place walking around the office: So does the mountaineering outdoors adventurer also look out of place in the office: Too casual: http://cdn3.lookbook.nu/files/looks/...jpg?1227027307 Too casual: http://lookbook.nu/files/looks/mediu....jpg?124794805 Too eclectic goofball dandy: http://lookbook.nu/files/looks/mediu...jpg?1235315902 Maybe something like this could work: http://lookbook.nu/files/looks/mediu...jpg?1251336201 What do you think? Post your example photos please!

The field jackets you posted are outerwear and would look strange indoors.

I'm not sure what kind of office job requires you to carry all of those things on your person but if the 8 or so pockets you get with a sportcoat and trousers are not enough, you might want to consider carrying a briefcase or something similar.

If carrying gear doesn't fit your Pucci style, then don't. Whatever works for you, thats great.
However some of us do need to carry stuff and look decent doing it. Good fashion can be practical. Everyone is different, and has their own reasons for carrying stuff.

I don't work in an business office or accounting firm. I work in professional environment, where every day I need to cut down cardboard boxes, string, wires, cord, and unscrew things just for starters. I also have about a 1/2km of halls and rooms to cover during the day. Rather than go get my toolkit I carry a small multitool and some other personal items with me.

So back to the topic, any smart looking styles with pockets other than the typical blazer?

I was gonna say, scientists and researchers carry this type of shit around all the time. It's a pain in the ass to have to be running around all the time. I'd probably pass on the cargo pants, your best bet IMO would probably be something from Engineered Garments or something... I'm thinking along the lines of... http://www.tresbienshop.net/en/art/e...ket-fleece.php http://www.contextclothing.com/item.php?id=1748 http://www.contextclothing.com/item.php?id=1899 http://www.blueowl.us/scripts/psp/VB...il&SKU=9900019

get an upland from woolrich woolen mills before its too late, or get any number of engineered garments blazers. the bedford has 4 front pockets, i can't imagine you needing more than that.

It's not a jacket you should be looking for, but rather an E-Holster. http://www.eholster.com/ Stylish, with a plethora of pockets and all conveniently hidden beneath your blazer or jacket. Please post pics of yourself after you buy.
