Greetings! I have a pair of barely worn Levis 501 1947 Jeans. Got these in Japan 3 years ago but wasn't a fan of the fit and they've been in storage since. Just some backpocket fading if you look hard enough. They are tagged 34/36 but the waist is actually 32" after a soak. Measurements are, waist 32" front rise 12" back rise 15" inseam 33" (I had these hemmed about 1 inch) thigh 12" knee 9.5" hem 8.5" I purchased a few things on this forum before but if you need reference, you can look up my ebay account under vash_123. Looking for SOLD in the continental U.S. Paypal preferred. PM me with any questions.

Any more details on these? Is it made in Japan? The backpocket arc looks different, also the stitching on the hidden rivet is unusual.

I'm "assuming" they are made in Japan .. the waistband tag is written completely in Japanese lol. I purchased these at a mall in Ikebukuro a few years ago. I asked the lady for 1947 Levis and she directed me towards the pair you see here. These are the only pair of Levis I've owned so I'm unable to comment on the arcs or stitching - perhaps it's a pair issued only for Japan? It looks like all the standard Levis detailing is located where it's supposed to be.

They were only soaked and never washed. The denim is pretty lightweight which I usually like but just couldn't get used to the rise.

Also, no bumps w/out a price drop. read the rules.

also: too bad these are too short or they would be mine.

THey look legit to me, altho the stitching on around the rivets looks off, as does the lack of 'stagger' at the yoke (the two lines of stitches line up, whereas they shoudl be offset). I'd assume they are the Leiv's Japan vintage repro - some were made with Japanese fabric, some with Cone, I'd guess the first, in which case it's made by Kaihara. Some of the Japanese fabric is thought to be better than Cone, some worse, that looks pretty good altho I have no idea how it will wear in compared to the US fabric. Shame they've been shortened without a chainstitch, though.
