A pair of vintage British made Dent's "Duplex" cotton morning gloves in yellow/cream, a smallish size 8 1/2 (Length approx 9 1/2 inches from base of glove to fingertip, opening measures 3 1/2 inches across laid flat). Press-stud closure with Dent's brand on stud (some loss to enamel) In excellent condition, minor marks, no splits.

I think that is the visual effect intended; the texture, however, is quite "hard" rather than napped like chamois.
