I chuckled after visiting the lv store on Champs-Elysees, remembering why I never go into their stores in the first place.

The loafers = NEVER, simply because of the logo. The brogues = WTF is that broguing? flowers? FWIW, I saw a pair of shoe tree at LV boutique with a price tag of $785. That's right, not shoes, just shoe trees. And nothing is really fancy about it, look like regular trees with green antiquing and a leather strap instead of a brass knob.

I wonder if you get them free when you buy a pair of shoes.

I think I'd stick with buying shoes from a shoemaker as opposed to a designer. There are quite a few shoes out there for that price I'd jump before those.

I had a pair of the Malicieux Richelieu once in a gorgeous brown. They were constructed well enough to command the $600 or so I paid for them, but that was after a friends 30% discount. I endorse that shoe.

LV make a big deal out of the rhodium cube in the heel of their shoes as a mark of their craftsmanship.
