2) Conversely, there's a lot of stuff out there that can be recommended
3) A lot of times, just giving the requester a lead, like "Check out Nomme de Guerre, DRKSHDW, or search for <some_poster_who_posts_WAYWT_fit_pics_in_the_desired_aesthetic> would go a long way, the thread will drop off the front page, and then you don't have to worry your little stupid head about it.

+1. I for one this was a good idea for a thread, and I've done my own research for a long time now.

dude styleforum isnt a library. its where a bunch of clothing nerds gather to talk about the latest margiela knit. i only click on threads with interesting titles and ignore all the ones with boring ones.

The moleskin ones with the front pockets? I'm gonna try them on when I get back home, I think I want the charcoal ones. Have to see how they fit, usually W+H pants fit a bit oversized but tend to have kind of a short inseam.

Yeah those field khakis are sick, I would buy them in a heartbeat if I could just find them online somewhere. I also like those slim cords they make.

What's the word on Fjallraven? Garbage?

I find Nom de Guerre to be very underwhelming, especially for the price. Look at their old skate stuff like the graffiti track jacket Adidas collab if you want some LOLs. Out of those mid-tier American bands I think Rag & Bone is definitely the best current one. You can often get good prices on it at Barneys sales. Also current season Lanvin is very dark-military but sounds like it would be out of your price range. sq4you has the short belted leather and it's great.

Understand that my criticisms come from my perspective as a Barneys salesman. Brands like NdG and NiCo are generally tasteful, well-fitting and loads better then anything commonly available - but I've owned, handled and sold almost all the brands discussed here and there are just much better options at that pricepoint. If you shop around you can get a new pair of aircuts for the same price as some overdesigned NiCo pants.

With resources like this site and the other fashions forums Plus a little research and effort it is possible to get some really great stuff at the same price as the mid-tier stuff.

im probably stating the obvious

try to avoid cargo pants with pockets on the side it makes you look slouchy unless thats what you are going for. Now front pockets are teh way to go . M65 jackets can be good and bad they look badass if they work well with your outfit, i got mine in black not green as it goes well with more clothes than a green one does. Up to you and your wardrobe and moneyzzzzzzz

It's a runway look from current season Lanvin.

I can't vouch for the quality, but I always find something in Nicholas K's line that catches my eye. I've never pulled the trigger on any, though.
