The only reason he looks "ripped" in those pictures is because he'd probably been starving himself prior to the photo shoot in order to get a lower BMI and therefore look like he has abs of steel. It's like scrawny teenage guys who think they have a 6 pack because they can't gain weight and shoot up to 6'2 in, like, 4 days.

People are talking about him because of him making the list. Nice abs? I don't give a damn about abs. Plenty of boys have abs but a face is a face is a face and his isn't anything to write a song about. To each his own though. We all have different tastes. He happens to be too 'boy next door' for me

Yes. It's definitely what some models -and actors/resses-do, so you very well could be right about that, Tomgirl. But still, they look kinda real (hard to tell from a picture, but if so ... As to the People thing, indeed. In turn, means many out there believe he's good looking. I really hadn't given Ryan much thought myself, then, didn't really know much about him until this thread. But, yes, everyone has their own taste of course, CouttsClient. Boy next door? That's a good way of describing him, I think. As to Betty or RSS - both funny (Sandra did call Betty a "national treasure," though -- Just kidding ... trust you know that link of yours was indeed brilliant and most appreciated ... EDIT: yep, those abs as pictured above do look pretty real ...
