I'm from New Orleans and I hate that shit lol. During my prom, it was 80% bounce music.

Seriously, can some anthropologist come and explain to me what's going on here so I can be more culturally sensitive? Are there some field notes I can read somewhere on how to communicate with people like this or do I just shout and grunt? I tried looking at the Youtube comments to try and learn about where this came from but couldn't decipher much. Some people's comments looked like their cat just walked across their keyboard and just happened to hit enter as they stepped off of it:

Nobby ih soh luhhv yhu.......cahnt waiht 2 geht bahk 2 dah n.o. Ihm ahl dah waii ihn alabama dohiin dah shiit lyhkk crazii........ Ily hunn yah boii rodney aka la la snookiie babeeyz

Dis video is da sheit mann. i dance 2 dis shit in skul on the walls mann. Luv u Sissy Nobby:]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]

day should but this on mtv and bet siisy noby gone have the nation spinnen...new orleans for eva!

I have seen highly-functioning mentally retarded people write more eloquently than this and I am being serious when I say that. I know most people will say that's nothing new for Youtube, but it's videos and comments like this that leave me feeling very unsettled about the future of the human race...especially when troglodytes like this have access to technology and the minimal knowledge required to use it.

Same here. What school did you go to that this was being played at your prom?

Another native of New Orleans. I predate this "trend" ... and thankfully my parents sent me away to school.

Well the twerking is nothing new, even the queers twerking is nothing new. Doing it to this kind of music though I havent seen before. Iam not from the N.O. though. This isnt next level ghetto at all. White people say the darndest things.

Can't stand bounce. Might be the only genre I find more unlistenable than ghetto tech.
