Best Real-life Car Chase Evar

This is insane if you think about it. It's like a movie. The cop (who undoubtedly doesn't play "by the rules" and has a name ending in "-tski") is firing out of the car at the fleeing suspect, then jumps into the bed of the pickup, goes into the cab, throws the suspect out of the moving vehicle, and then pulls over. I cannot imagine how quickly the cop would've been fired in the US.

Depends on which jurisdiction it occurs in. In Chicago or Prince George's County I'm sure he'd do just fine even with the video evidence, which I'm sure would get conveniently misplaced sometime between the incident and the trial. In Maricopa County he'd get a pass as long as the suspect was at least vaguely brown hued.

That was pretty crazy.

Before seeing that one, this one was one of the craziest I've seen.

Also notice how he was aiming a shotgun to blast open the back window but could just as easily have killed the driver. wouldn't it have been easier to shoot out a tire?

I have this suspicion that the shotgun was not being used as a facilitator for truck entry.

Yes, calling repeated shotgun blasts directly at the driver a "request to stop" is a bit of a euphemism.

Looked like a reasonable course of action to me In the vid that embowafa posted, was the driver shot? Can't tell but when he backed up went forward it looked like one of the cops shot him at point blank range thru the window...but I can't be sure

That is so beyond awesome.

That cop must have watched a lot of action movies.

This cop has some serious balls. I had him as a winner once he sat out of the window blasting the pickup with his shotgun.

A buddy of mine had his car stolen but had GPS. He tells the police this and they quickly locate the parked car. Dust for prints, return car, happy ending right? Not quite. They decide to stake the car out and see who gets in. A high-speed chase ensues, the car is totaled. Gee, thanks officer.
