Bit hit and miss on response, but it's worth a try.
For delicate / high dollar coats, I mix salt with hot water so it dissolves , then let it cool , and with a white cloth rub the dirtied area.

I bought the technical clothing wash recommended by ventile, so I'll let you know how that goes...

Use it on the inside in an area it doesn't matter if it fades just in case ..

I think that on reflection the issue must be the waterproofing/ wax rather than the colouring; apparently you can't dry clean any wax jackets. There seem to be specialist wax jacket cleaners; I'll just send it to them if the Granger's doesn't help.

Looks like SASSAFRAS or Orslow though. I like it.

How do you people wash the US clip jacket? It says handwash only, but is it safe to use a machine?

Can anyone advise on sizing for the SS16 Aircraft jacket? TTS? Also would the SS16 washed indigo cameraman fit TTS? Many thanks.

I have the FW14 version and it fits bigger than the Cameraman and Surface jackets I've owned. Took a 48 in Cameraman, probably could have gone 46 or 48 on the Surface jacket (but went with a 46). Could only take a 46 in the FW14 Aircraft and there's still plenty of room in there for a chunky knit.

If it helps to know, I'm a size 37 chest.

Yeah the aircraft is quite roomy. I'm 6ft 40" chest and I range between 48-50 in cabourn. I bought a 50 in ss16 aircraft and I fiound it too big, too baggy in body and sleeves. So I got a 48 with the intention of selling on the 50. Much better fit for me. Very nice jacket by the way smile.gif for the record, if anyone is looking st the ss16 nylon surface. It's a big fit.. Size 48 comes in more like s 50.

Thanks guys regarding sizing on the aircraft. Probably too risky to go for it without first trying it on.

Re SS16 cameraman. For those who have tried it, is it running TTS?
