Nigel Cabourn - Page 410

Flat Iron on the same street has my thumbs up. Helps that it is way more affordable than it appears to be.

I own a few Cabourn items but i'm always on the look out for similar clothing , thought you might like this manufacturer based in Lancashire England using Ventile cloth mainly for the cyclists out there .

Got myself a Lybro shirt. Like it a lot!

The smocks do look a bit plain and bland
Haven't seen anything in the 'flesh' yet so to speak so can't comment on the quality

Really like the look of the white Aircraft Jacket at End and the Joe shirt looks good

Also really tempted by the Lybro dungarees on the Cabourn site

The waistcoat with the large white buttons looks nice but the smallest size on the Cabourn site is 48

I'm not a fan of mixing a tunic/ Nero style jacket with a waistcoat - it just doesn't work at all in my opinion

But then I dont like a tunic/ Nero jacket at all - looks rubbish totally unbuttoned and looks too formal to be comfortable buttoned up

A simple lapel coat jacket either single or double breasted for me every time

@Alexey Beseda

What hat are you wearing there? Looks good from what I can see of it.

Actually I take back quite a lot of what I've just said about tunic/ Nero collar jackets as I've just seen them on Endclothing and they seem to have partnered them well in the photos and they've got them all in size 46

Tempted !

The aircraft jacket is quite special - waxed hemp canvas. That's real texture.
Those pockets are large enough for twin ipads too.

But only 1 left of each size. Otherwise a real stand out piece in the SS16.

Not sure about the dungarees. It looks like maternity wear the way they size an extra large on the skinny model.

Well it looks like the dungarees were the 'must haves' of the season

They are sold out everywhere
Bureau, Corniche and Cabourn, all gone

Bought the size 46 Lybro Cabourn navy waistcoat from Endclothing the other day

Love it, very impressed with the handle of the Japanese denim and I like the large metal buttons

The collar is a bit strange in that it doesn't fold over flat as it stands proud but I'm guessing that's it's USP

I wore it under a Mallory the other night

Just a warning to anybody that is thinking of popping in to End's new larger store in Newcastle hoping to see or try on some Cabourn

They do not have one item of Cabourn in store and they no longer have their store room round the corner to go and get it for you so unless you ring ahead with a couple of days notice, you are scuppered

In fact, although the store is larger on three floors it seems to have less stock than the tiny old store

It is completely soulless and a bit dated in its clinical minimal presentation

The same very nice staff but extremely dissapointing

Are you sure Eric? I swear someone on this forum was posting pictures of the new store and saying End 'up nath' were great – could it be they are talking out of their ass?

It's only my opinion of the new store

I can not fault their on line service though
I have bought from them many times on line and their service is second to none

They also seem to continue to get a reasonably full statement of line in Cabourn, getting my size 46 in some items where others don't - not even the Cabourn online store!

I visited the old store several times and enjoyed the Cabourn x Converse launch evening a while ago when they did have Cabourn in store

This new store is not my cup of tea - it is completely soulless and devoid of character with what is a small statement of line hung to look boring

It's no wonder bricks and mortar shops are dying a death and Internet sales are booming

Designers and shops have to create a more appealing interior and shopping experience

This kind of minimal white space is just so dated

Congratulations to Nigel Cabourn for not falling into the same trap with his London Army Gym

Those in the know ...
Is there any Camo pieces for UK market ? Spotted some on Japanese sites ..
Also is the foul weather smock heading to UK stores, or again just Japanese market ?

Is it just me, or is the latest Marrkt sale disappointing? Or, did I miss out on everything because I just woke up at GMT-8?
