some of the women's stuff is so cheap, Mallorys for £140, was even wondering if I could pull one off. Instead got the Ginger Jacket...

Has anyone got the natural work tunic and waist coat? was tempted but have never seen in the flesh...

Well I'm pleased to say that my grey Mallory arrived from End today

I'm also quite surprised but pleased that it is absolutely identical in size and fit to all my other Mallorys despite being told that they had changed the fit slightly this year

It just isn't true

The new one is the second one in from the right

The brown one with the orange check is from AW10 and is a 44, all the others are 46's from AW10 through to AW12 - the green one is the Manufactum Tenzing

That's good to know, probably going to pick up another this season. Hardily wore the one I have from 2013/14  but brought it out this year, forgot what a nice jacket it really is.....

Enjoy

I've worn out the one on the far right

I think I've worn it just about every working day so approximately 5 days a week from November to March 3 years running

The ventile is shiny and marked on the shoulders and the tweed is looking a bit tired

I got it home tonight and gave it a good brush with a soft brush, hung it up and steamed it all over and inside to get some of the creases out of it

Now just air-drying it

It definately looks a bit livelier and better but I'm going to alternate it now with the new grey one to extend its life

I wear the other ones at weekends and they are as good as new, even the green one which has been on a few camping and canoeing and ski trips

Anyone have experience with the short vest under the business jacket? I know that they are generally meant to be able to combine as a 3-piece with the trousers, but will the vest be visible under the jacket? And if so, how much? I don't like when a vest only sticks out a tiny little bit

I recently picked up this Indigo Mallory from ebay which i believe is from 13/14 - it is not quite as bright or brushed as the Indigo Mallory from last year, and not as dark as the black / navy.

The issue is the fit. Everything i have is 52, including several other Mallorys from various seasons including Army and Brown/Navy from the past couple of years.

This recent purchase is identical in length to my other ones but maybe 2 inches narrower in the body, and maybe 1/2 in arm lenght, which although fits, its too slim for layers or heavy oxfords.

Do you think this has been modified by the previous owner and has anyone has theirs widened?

Close up with flash, it seems a tighter / less brushed weave than recent Indigo

Based on your description I have an easy solution for you: give it to me!

If it seems a tighter weave, my first thought would be the previous owner did the hand washing technique in warm water to reduce the size, then didn't think it shrank enough so put it on eBay. But from my experience (I hand washed one size 52 to make it slimmer and shorten the arms) the result is a tighter weave that ALSO appears, as you put it, more brushed. So if it's less 'brushed' I'm not sure.

How do you wear your Mallory in winter? Under a coat or with a sweater underneath?

With just a shirt it's not warm enough, I find.

It depends - the last couple of weeks I've been wearing the Mallorys with their equivalent vest/waistcoats but when it's reasonably warm I just wear it over a shirt

The only matching waistcoat/vest I don't have is the one for this new grey Mallory

I don't think any were made which is very odd

It looks nice with the contrasting navy one though as it matches the ventile patches

I've got two of the Summer Business Jacket and waistcoat combos and the amount of waistcoat showing above the V of the jacket looks perfect to me

I usually wear my Mallorys with the four pocket Cabourn knit vests underneath, or an SNS Herning fisherman turtleneck. It's pretty damn warm that way.

Everyone is already looking forward to AW16! I'm pretty excited to see SS stuff. At least from the limited pictures I can find online, looks like some cool pieces coming out.

...speaking of, does anyone know when SS hits stores?

It's been a while since I've posted on this thread so excuse me for blowing it up! I never could track down thus cameraman from a few seasons back. If anyone runs across it in a 52 or 54, please do tell!
