Its a great jacket, very light weight and breathable/windproof etc.

I like it better then the light weight "Veilance" shell I have......

Good luck.

As for the color, I'd say it's a medium orange.  I wouldn't say burnt, I wouldn't say bright.  I'd say a rich medium orange.  It's a great looking jacket.

I think you have named the two most 'off' sized Cabourn jackets, I take a 50 in the Cameraman, Mallory, Rangoon etc. and they all fit perfectly but my Surface in a 50 was tight across the chest and my Aircraft in 48 fits perfectly.

Thanks so much for your replies.  Its a massive help.   I’m now on the hunt the Aircraft Jacket knowing what I need to know. Sizing is a conundrum sometimes, still,  thats what makes NC so fun, thanks all

I know some people have had some bad experiences with the Nigel Cabourn webshop so I thought that I would write up that I had a really good experience. I emailed them using the contact form on their website about the Deck Pants that were available this season as my size was sold out in the few shops that I had found stocking them. Got an email back a few days later saying they would try and track a pair down for me, which they duly did. Couldn't be happier with the service I received and the trousers are amazing.

Some pics that I posted in the recent purchases thread.

Hey, if not too late I'll add my 2p. I am a 50 in the Mallory, cameraman and Everest and I also went 50 in the aircraft. I tried on the 48 which fit fine in the body but was an inch or so shorter and as I am very tall, I went with the 50. If you're regular height, you could probably choose between the two depending on whether you want a snug fit or a bit more length and room to wear a chunky pullover underneath. The difference between the 48 and 50 wasn't pronounced. As for the colour, it's perfect. Not at all too bright and with the slightly textured feel of the ventile, it wears well with lots of outfits.

Trying to get my mother in to a women's Mallory of ushowu, but they have 0 measurements on the site and I just tried calling them which was a complete waste of time (edit. the number of the website is wrong found the right one)

She's 62 by the way.

That's really odd. If it helps, I find that Pieter (I think that's the guy who runs UShowU) responds very quickly to email in my experience.

I called them not emailed, sent them an email afterwards, which got replied quickly and he didn't know why the phone no. on the website was wrong (it was to a housing rental firm).

Finally received the dark navy Mallory I ordered from UshowU. Ordered it on the 12th, he mailed it on the 16th and I got it yesterday (27th). Pretty lengthy shipping time considering the $52 shipping cost, but I didn't get charged any import fees / taxes which was nice. Would definitely consider ordering from them again.

So disappointed got the 50 in the business jacket from coggles when ordered S for the third time now. Thought that they perhaps had correct it because they had a M in stock this time but no. Really have to give up my hopes on them now

Maybe coggles think a 50 is a S? Try to order a 52 instead for a M next time.
