Does anyone have a medical shirt in a 50 they want to sell by any chance?

Totally agree with you on every point - I love my coastal command jacket (brown and orange) but you are right it is a little bit difficult to wear but feels great in cold windy conditions - the weight of the coat pulled down one of my wardrobe rails

I do look forward to the AW collections more than SS but I suppose we wear less clothes in the summer

Especially looking forward to getting a NC SS14 raincoat and it's nearly time for the collections coming into shops - excited!

Can't quite locate the photos I saw but there is definately a long brown/beige camo print raincoat with a belt and hood and I think there is a plain beige version as well - it was on a photoshoot from the Alex Tefler website but seems to have disappeared

Of course it depends on the shops ordering these and in my size but the wait and surprise is all part if the excitement

Just found the images again from the Alex Tefler website . The SS14 shoot is under the heading 'photographer'

The raincoat looks to be made in beige ventile as I can just make out the seam tape on the inside

Can't copy the photos from the website on to my mobile for some reason - sorry

A few pictures for you, my Cabourn Identity;

Black Taffy Parka

Everest

Trench Coat

Green Pea Coat

Duffle

Summer Stone Parka

Took advantage of a half decent day today. These are my long / winter coat's.
I've a few short summer coats, jumpers, trousers, shirts and other bits and pieces, to follow at some point.

I might sell you mine.  I'm more of a 48 now.  pm me.  It's the blue check version

The trench coat was SS 2009, I think. It was available in navy blue also.

Here is the label for the white one one at least.   Think they are both labeled.  I assume the grade of leather would be a some knotches up on the finished items?   Don’t know when I’d wear something like this!

Thanks for posting - well that's interesting , to all intents and purposes these are Nigel Cabourn pieces then even though they are one off samples. I suppose if he's designed them and commissioned them as samples to show potential buyers or evaluate with his team, the labelling is correct

Nigel commissions the labels and sends them out to all his manufacturers each season

Just one thing - shouldn't it say 'made in Scotland' (from girders)!!! Instead of 'made in England'?

Nice coat , no wonder I didn't recognise it - I only descovered Nigel Cabourn around Early 2010 just as the AW09 collection was selling out & the SS10 was coming in
First piece was the AW Tenzing now 'the Mallory' then I got the SS10 yellow Manderlay Packaway coat from Oki Ni. It snowballed from there.
What was your earliest piece and where did you get it from?

I remember being aware of Nigel Cabourn for his early 90's sports wear, very "casual", if you know what I mean. I used to go down to London once or twice a year for clothes and I bought two shirts and a sweatshirt from a shop in Covent Garden. Pretty sure it wasn't Nigel's shop because it was opposite the Michiko Koshino shop and that's not the same place as described by others. This was around 91 / 92. I still have them and they have lasted well, but are beginning to show their age now. I'll post some pictures as and when I can.

After that I followed Nigel but never having the funds to buy a lot. It was only when he came back to provenance with the Everest collection that I started to buy again. I've got some of the knitwear from that collection, again I'll get pics up sometime soon.

On site these are referred to as "Sheepskin 38" that is not the size of the coat ? Am a 48 in the "Mallory" am assuming I would be a 48 in the leather ?

Thoughts on the coat itself as compared to the "Coastal Commander" and what looks to be the reissue of the jacket, may just wait as I am a fan of the original hooded jacket.

Thanks
