Cabourn can be had at deeper drops, but considering this is a Mallory it is a good deal.  In my experience they tend to sell at this price.  If you live in the States you don't have to worry about customs either.  I'd jump on this if you're someone who is in the market for one.

The Army looks just like the one I got last year, but the Brown does not look the same as the Black Brown from last year.  Too bad they didn't have Black Navy or Indigo.  Still some a nice collection of Cabourn at Independence.

I hate you guys. Couldn't resist and got the Mallory in olive. Hopefully this 50 Mallory actually fits a medium, unlike my Nigel Cabourn Surface Jacket in 50 which fits a large and that I'm still trying to sell...

Only Surface Jacket I've ever tried was most certainly a Medium.  Mallory in a 50 is certainly a Medium as well.  Hope it works out for you, it's a great piece.

Independence are doing some great deals right now. If I actually needed any more clothes, I'd be snapping this stuff up.

FIT QUESTION: I've been checking out this Mallory on eBay. Does anyone know if the size 50 equates to a size 40?

Thanks!

That listing is hilarious:

"This is NOT the Cheaper Mallory that’s Out Today and is One of the Original Seasons so The Details are Only of the Best Quality of ALL The Mallory Jackets."

On top of that he proceeds to use the copy from Cabourn's site.

I am a 40" chest and have a 50 Mallory. It fits snug but well. You should only size up if you like a loose fit.

Thought I would just post a photo of me having completed a 22 mile bike ride some of it in pouring rain ( Preston Guild Wheel in the North West of England) wearing :

NC AW12 oilcloth lined Surface Jacket
Noble House replica Luftwaffe Channel pants ( inspired by Nigel's own originals that Drew wore for the AW13 photo shoots - see earlier posts on this thread for discussion if interested)
NC x converse army plimsols

Agreed

Found this on Instagram. Seems to be a mainline peacoat. Does know one over here buy mainline anymore?

FINALLY wore a couple of my Mallorys this past week.  I was always going back and forth on size, but I'm confident in the 52 considering my chest and the coat's measurements.  That's great considering how many I invested in last season.  Looks amazing on.  What really struck me though is how warm it is.  I fiured it'd be warm, but even in the high 40s F it's almost too warm with just a woven shirt underneath.  Granted one of the days was yesterday and I was hiking at a very brisk pace through some mixed/hilly terrain for about 4 miles.

Very nice piece.  I have it in Navy in a 50, but sadly I'd need a 52.  It definitely is more fitted than the Aircraft jacket.  Really annoying too because if it were a 52 I'd already have worn it, not to mention the ridiculous deal I got on it.

I know, it's a real shame when you get hold of NC bargain piece and it just doesn't fit - my one piece is the Brady x Cabourn hunting jacket which I just couldn't get anywhere outside of Japan in a 46 so I compromised and bought the 48 in a sale and it's just too big - the shoulders look daft although I've hung it on a narrow hanger in the wardrobe which has helped drop the shoulders a little which is helping it look better but still haven't worn it out yet

Anyone have any idea about this year's crazy Mallory in blue?  Is the combo Dark Navy and Indigo or Brown and Indigo?  I can't tell from the pictures.  I assume the former since it's referred to as "Navy", but I really can't tell from any of the photos.

Yeah, one or two others.  The rest are good, but with my fair share of hemming and hawing over size.
