Thanks chaps. Phil, is there something behind that almost-ellipsis? Does it look off or do you have any advice in terms of outfit?

Quick question chaps. On most websites the ventile taped aircraft jacket is described as having 'Rear Collar Flap to Secure Roll-Away Hood'.

Now, on the standard aircraft jacket I see how this is possible, you've got a metal popper on the rear of the collar and on the inside flap which the Cabourn label is sown to.

However, I definitely don't have the same thing on my ventile taped jacket. Is this just a case of mindless copy/pasting between two different products, or am I missing a trick here, as I can't seem to roll it away!

I'm a bit tempted to get the cold weather parka from flannels, does anyone how it fits? I should probably go for a 46, but there's a 48 to a quite resonable price.

Speaking of Flannels, do they still deduct VAT or what?

They didn't *seem to* for me, but then again I'm unclear whether or not VAT is added in the first place; they don't state either way. I ordered to Australia and at no stage in the process was there any notification of VAT added or deducted, not even on the invoice I'm staring at right now. Odd.

I've got the Cabourn x Converse Bosey Boots for sale in Size 9 (Navy and Green) if anyone's interested.

Flannels refunds VAT once your order has shipped. You have to email them after you place the order.

There isn't a massive difference between the 46 and 48
I've got the army Cold Weather Parka in 46 and a navy one in 48 - they look near identical on apart from the sleeve length on the 48 is noticeably longer probably because the shoulder is a bit wider and drops a little more coupled with a inch on the sleeve but I just either turn up the cuff or button it tighter around the wrist
I think the parka looks quite good a bit more oversize anyway - a bit of a more authentic mod look and a throw back to when mods could only get hold of the one ubiquitous army surplus large size
It's a hell of a coat and I love wearing it with the beaver tail half lowered and the army coloured one is a ticket to some great pub conversations about Wigan Pier and Northern Soul
For those 'up north' and in England, otherwise the Mod and Northern soul references are meaningless .....sorry

Ok. Thank you. I do think a lot of cabourns look better a bit oversized if you like to wear it that way. But I'm just about 5 f 7 but with a bit wider shoulder though. I had a conversation with Cabourn earlier about the jacket for next season. I was told that they are making it with mohair and alpaca lining. Don't know if that's new for this season.

Another thing does anyone know what flannels means with 20% off? It says so on some of the Cabourns items, the cold weather parka for exemple but price hasn't change since the winter sale.

It's telling me that's not valid?

Anyone have experience with the construction/sizing of the Army Plimsolls? Are they worth the price on sale ~(130$?)
