I never had them get back to me. Much better to go the Superdenim route, they are much more reliable that way. The chat has always been picked up quickly for me.

So my new, Converse x Nigel Cabourn Chuck Taylor Bosey Hi, in NATO green arrived this morning. They were £85 from END plus £6 for Saturday delivery. I'm a size 9 in most shoes and boots and they are pretty much spot on for sizing.

They came in a NC branded box, then they were wrapped in a cotton Converse shoe bag. Ventile upper should help keep a shower out, but not much else. Very nice they are too, really pleased. See what you think:

Heh, am I the only one who ordered the Navy? That green looks good though

Stupid question maybe but does anyone know if these would fit a woman's feet at all? My girlfriend rather liked the look of them.

It says unisex on the box, they are pretty much the same as a standard Converse.

So maybe a quick trip to a sports shop and try on a normal pair to get the correct fit.

Perfect, thanks very much for the information!

No, I picked up the Navy as well, but not after some deliberation.

I already have a pair of darker olive-shade sneaks anyways, and I liked how much more the stitching stood out.

Now I just gotta wait till it gets shipped out to me.

Really well attended - End was buzzing from 6 all the way through to 9 and then it moved on to a bar

Had a great chat to Nigel and his team who all seem genuinely passionate about their work. It gave me a real insight into their creative and production process.

Converse had a presence as well and had done a great job in commissioning designers in propping the shop in a 40's theme

Lots of people proudly wearing their Cabourn for the party

damn the sneakers look terrible, but you and your gf look cute in your cabourn gear. hope you guys had a good time

Just for the record

That's not me in the photo - that was a very nice student couple I met at the launch party proudly wearing their Cabourn.

Although, at age 45 with my youthful good looks I have often been mistaken for someone in their twenty's !!

Yes I actually preferred the look of the navy ones because as you rightly say the stitching detail and the metal parts stand out more

The only problem was that I knew I would get so much more wear out of the green ones coordinated with more khaki and green/brown coats, jackets etc.

for those Cabourn fans live outside EU, Flannels now charge 20 pounds for international order and deduct the VAT from shipping cost too(16 pounds in total).

with the 10% off code (SPRING10) and more "realistic" shipping cost, i finally grab my Compton Jacket in Maroon Stripe in 48. Hope it will be a good one.
