Any idea what the sizing is like on their sweaters?

I'm generally at the top end of large - 43" chest + too much gut. Would a 50 or 52 be better?

They also pop up new on Ebay UK for decent prices. Yeah, US prices can be steep, probably due to importing costs. But, they aren't that much more than the UK webshop prices. Not sure where you are seeing them for the prices you mentioned.

I would say definitely no smaller than a 52. I have a 39" chest and wear a 50. The knit might be a little small on you, possibly, but with the heavier knits I can size down to 48.

Thanks - it's quite a heavy knit and I don't want it loose so hopefully a 52 will do. For a scottish made sweater it's a good price and I really like the heritage style.

I know this is poorly viewed, so apologies in advance .

I bought a NC Duffle on sale and am able to return it for a full refund. Just thought I'd put it out there in case someone was looking for it at a great price. Info in the sig.

My navy 4 Way Roll neck jumper from oipolloi arrived today. I am really disappointed because it's so big (I should have expected as stated by oipolloi: Oversized, relaxed fit - but was the only size left). I ordered it in my normal size (50), but the sleeves are very large and long and it's very very thick and heavy. I have also the funnel neck sweater which is pretty similar, but it's more fitted and as I have it size 48 and fits pretty snug (as my Cabourn flight jacket). I do not get completely the hype and the authentic/vintage look of some of the items (especially as worn in the city).

I think with the rollneck, you want it to be rather fitted like your funnel neck. I also have the funnel neck (red) in 48, but I had to stretch my sz48 lambswool vests because they were quite tight. So, I think I am a 50 in everything except for heavy knits I should size down. How itchy is that roll neck, claus?
It's bit itchy indeed, and the knit a bit coarser than funnel neck. I'm wearing it inside at home right now, the rollneck is 20 cm long and really thick. Chest is 56cm / 22in (about 47 cm for the funnel) and it's about 10 cm longer than my funnel neck sweater. Mostly I'm bothered by the length and width of the sleeves, it feels so grungey. I would not wear it with a coat, it's too thick, maybe with a Cucinelli grey down vest I bought recently.

Wow, and I thought the body and sleeves of my funnel neck were long! p.s.- botfc- That's a fantastic duffle, probably the best I've seen. Why are you selling it? Is it too small?
