Great coat, but would feel I would need to be on a ship / submarine to rock it.

I could see someone wearing a coat like this in the 80s with some docs.  I think you could wear this in many different ways though.  Dressed up or down.  Just love the timelessness of it.

I love wearing my Cameraman during snow storms.

Is the aircraft jacket a S/S only piece, or do they make a F/W version? I tried one on today and it's a great jacket but the material was very thin (I could see my shirt right through it).

Thanks,

Don't think i've seen a FW version. Yeah was looking at that bc I don't have any wax wear, never seen it in person though.

Thanks. It's actually an oil treated cotton so the jacket doesn't have a waxy feel to it. I tried on the orange version at Unionmade but I'm looking for the Army color. If anyone knows where to get it in size 46 in Army please let me know.

Thanks,

^ Context has a 46 in the khaki version.

Thanks,

I'm looking for Army though. I like the darker color.

350

It seems to be sold out in 46 everywhere I looked. Unionmade has Khaki and Orange btw in 46 and 48 for anyone who is looking. Just not up on the site.

I got this one from ebay now, 100 GBP, good price. They say it's reversible, but to me it seems weird to wear it inside-out, what do you think?

This jumper is made from 100 % lambs wool and was inspired by the jumper worn by Tom Bourdillon who was a British Mountaineer and a member of the team, which made the first ascent of Mount Everest. When he was pictured wearing the jumper it was on inside out and back to front; his explanation for this was when your at a certain height you just don’t care which way you wear your jumper. Nigel Cabourn’s re-creation of the jumper is called 4 Way Roll Neck because, like Tom, you can wear it 4 ways

For people who just don't care how they look. Not your typical Cabourn customer, is it!?

I guess you can wear any sweater 4 ways, but why would you? Nice story though, and I look forward to getting the sweater, I have been looking for something like this for a long time, and got it for a good price too.
