From the Tenue de Nimes video Fuuma linked, Cabourn considers those a signature detail--lifted from WWII British Army pieces. I think Krane outerwear uses them as well, and a handful of lower tier brands have also incorporated them.

Yeah I've got em on a Scotch & Soda jacket from a few years back as well as two Krane jackets. Krane makes the best use of them IMO as they're riveted on with a strip of leather. Looks badass and is really durable in my experience.

The Mallory jacket is really tempting. Can anyone comment on the sizing for this specific piece? I have a 36" chest and wear a size S in Engineered Garments Andover and Norfolk jackets and was thinking of going with a 46.

I ******* love that video. Nigel is EXACTLY how I imagined him solely from images and the like. Such a cool dude.

Adam if you're 41-42 chest you won't fit into 50.

Also I disagree with this. I guess only time will tell when you try **** on but I think with a 41 (my chest measurement) to 42 inch chest you could fit a 50 in the Cameraman. Definitely would need a 52 in knitwear though. Will only comment on those as they're the only Nigel I've tried on.

46 will be ok if you want a slimmer fit and not too much room for layering under it, otherwise and if you're not too short you could try the 48.

The stuffs quite cheap in England. Flannels are like $60, sweatshirts are about $100, thinking about picking one up. Don't know about the outerwear though, haven't looked at it.

I actually found it to be quite nice when I tried it on. Thinking about picking one up if I can find one at 50% during the sales.

Adam I tried on a mock turtleneck... can't recall the style name, and it's not up on the Opening Ceremony website yet.

Well, I made the same mistake a few weeks ago. I needed a duffel coat and without knowing of the utility line I made an impulse buy. A similar Cabourn Utility duffel is on ebay now, I think will sell more expensive than mine, even though it's used. I've looked daily on ebay in the last few weeks and half of the stuff is the Utility line. Where's this coming from, the Debenhams collaboration was a few years ago? Since that mistake, I did my research online for past collections and b&m shops. Ordered some real stuff from superdenim.co.uk sale and waiting the December/January sales.
