I'm thinking of getting a Mallory Jacket but unsure as to how it fits. Many online stockists show slightly different sizing descriptions, so I thought to ask for opinion from those who've tried it or own this jacket.
I am 5'6" and 160 lbs, I can go between size 46 or 48 in suits depending on cutting and designer. I usually wear dress shirts in size 15.5" 32/33 sleeve length with chest measurement at 39.5". Some of the online sites list 48 as a small and I'm leaning towards getting a 48 as it looks like Cabourn's are cut slim. I don't plan on layering much with this jacket, as I don't live in very cold climes.

What do you guys think? will 46 be too slim? or will 48 be a better fit?

Thanks

I would go with the 48.

Ended up getting a refund from Volls on the navy submarine sweat and picking up the green one from the bureau. Was cheaper and also as most of my outerwear is green probably an easier wear for me.

Love that jacket man. Hopefully I'll be able to find that colorway jacket + pants when I have the skrilla.

That jacket pattern & color is really nice, never seen that one before, what's the smallest size on this, 46 or 44?

I took the plunge- I had been looking for either this colorway or the navy one.

Is that what they call the "solid" colorway?

^ Thanks, and has matching pant, sweet! Measurements on the jacket seem a bit big for a 44 though, is this thing like super thick? Now why does this place carry the jacket and vest down to 44 but pants only down to 32? and sold out

I think "solid" refers to the tweed part of the piece, since there's checkered and solid variations. I believe that colorway is just "brown".

Maybe I need to adjust the color on my monitor. The Macintosh part of this jacket is a chocolate brown?

What colorway is this? Opening Ceremony's order form lists Navy but this does not look like the RAF/Navy that I have seen in photos. Maybe I just need to wait until I can get to NYC and put the goods in my hand to make a decision.

This is what I thought the Navy looked like

OC had the solid navy (your second photo) last season as well. I would call them and ask if you are uncertain. It's always better to do a phone order to one of the stores rather than ordering online, I have found.

I tried the reversible shirt on today and it fits slim but TTS, IMO. Also, for those of you in Montreal, Simons on Ste-Catherine still has full size runs of a couple Nigel Cabourn pieces (cream/blue reversible shirt, navy toggle sweater/jacket, navy tweed trousers) at about 60% off.
