The downtime has nothing whatsoever to do with the software. Supertalk is (was) too popular for its own good, and has repeatedly ended up using too much bandwidth. Now that the hosting has changed, this problem (hopefully) won't occur again in the future.Originally Posted by minya
Yeah, a decent server is key. But how much bandwidth was superfutures actually using? AFAIK (j is the only one who really knows), we've never had problem with bandwidth, just exploding servers, and Styleforum usually has about 50% more traffic than Superfuture at any given time (I've been monitoring traffic on both sites).
