I dunno. I personally prefer the Slim Jims to the Thin Finns, and the RRDS and Bootcut Ola look good on pretty anyone, and the RRDS can be worn tight, normal (i.e. not ball crushing, as blackplatano so eloquently puts it, or loose) and still look good.

Thin Finns, imo, are the one of the least versatile of the Nudie cuts. I have a feeling that in 5 years, people are going to be looking at their Thin Finns and Long Johns, and saying "Eh, what was I thinking?" The Slim Jim gives a nice, slim silhouette without jumping the shark.

Actually, monitoring the different markets, slim fit jeans have quickly saturated the mass market, from H&M to the Gap, and all the mainstream premium denim brands, from Seven to True Religion, are all over the bandwagon too. This, combined with the fact the most Americans and, increasingly, Europeans, can't really wear really slim jeans, and I think that the lifetime of the trend will be closer to 4 seasons. Care to make it interesting?

So I remember that a little while ago on THE FUTURE we were discussing how it's nice that Banksy hasn't totally decided to start hucking his wares. Well, apparently at his recent show everything was $100,000 and up, and was attended by the likes of Perry Farrell, Meg White, Brad Pitt, etc... Take that how you will. http://supertouchblog.com/?p=317#more-317

I think nudie has some great cuts... it all depends on how you wear 'em. I have a pair of nutbuster FGs that I think kickass. However I'm not a huge fan of that pinstripe thin finn, I think its a little much. Over-the-top in the true religion sense.

i'm a bit confused but one of the main reasons i wear skinny jeans is because they are the only kind of cut that will fit me. i am a sz 27 and have really skinny legs. plus...a slim jim isn't any slimmer than a 501. i haven't seen many mainstream brands making skinny jeans for guys, only girls. the gap girls skinnies fit very well despite the super low rise. but i will stand by the thin finn as nudies best cut. but, i much prefer other brands to nudies. i don't think i answered anything you said because i am confused to what you were saying other than skinnies are a trend, but if so, i don't really care because i like them, if you don't, i don't give a ****.

When I'm looking at denim in fabric stores (I make jeans) they always have pinstripe denim on sale cause nobody wants it.

I was merely saying that the skinny jean trend has sort of gone to extremes with cuts like the Thin Finn and the Long Johns, and Slim Jim (imo) represents for me the optimal level of skinny, much like the Paper Denim GTO (yes, Paper Denims were well designed and reasonably well made, once upon a time, say, in 2002) was the optimal level of the bootcut trend, before brands like True Religion made enormous bootcuts and essentially "jumped the shark" on the bootcut trend. Some people look good in Thin Finns and Long Johns (Brian does a good job, for example, with his sized up and worn antifit), but I also saw some dudes wearing TR pretty well, but they are, imo, definitely the minority. That, and the fact the mass marketers are making skinny jeans now, make me think that the skinny trend is on the wane. Actually, several pretty decent denim designers and retailers have told me that there are rumblings, and that significantly fuller fits will be appearing in places like Styleforum and Superfuture in the next few seasons.) We discuss trends here, so that was my $0.02.

Dude, size 27, for real, and skinny legs? That's skinny for real. I guess you would look pretty good in Thin Finns, and pretty bad in baggier jeans. Post a pic dude.
