Genuine Horween Brown Shell Cordovan. I am beginning to notice that C&J and even AE shell Cordovan is sometimes a different animal than Alden shell. It is perhaps to be considered more elegant due to the uniform thickness from pair to pair, which generally happens to be slimmer in thickness than Alden's, resulting in less pronounced creasing. Alternatively, this could be imagination run amok but I think not.
