I like to make fruit, oat and yoghurt smoothies as "fast food" if I'm in a rush.

I'll either use Innocent fruit smoothies plus a handful of whole fruit, or frozen berry mix.

Add low fat natural yoghurt for protein and about 50g of oats for fibre and carbs and blend together. It's got an excellent nutritional breakdown and keeps you full for as long as a regular meal thanks to the oats.

True. I love dried cranberries but have had to limit the amount I eat because of all the sugar applied to them.

I love chopped dates, but I have to find the kind with oat flour on them instead of dextrose. So good...mmmm.....

I'd rather stick with vegetables, they're more nutritionally dense. Moreover, don't knock animal slaughter- it's consumption some 4-5 million years ago fueled the evolution/size or our brains. Without it, we'd still be in trees eating fruit.
