I don't want to hijack kolecho's thread, so this will be my last post in it.
We seem to have the following situation:

1. I would do my best to push this through, but don't speak French or Spanish. (Ask Mr. Alter about my tragedy with Bexley shoe trees.)

2. Kolecho has gone through the process once.

3. By my reckoning, 7 people have expressed interest.

4. Sky Valet may be a contact for the order.

Let's make this happen!

+1 on on this. Let's not lose the momentum. Kolecho, can you reach out to your contact re: arranging a bulk order?

Aportnoy and others,

I would love to help, but I am already struggling to order one pair of shoes, let alone order 7 pairs or more!!!! The issue is language. I also do not have a Carmina catalogue.

I suggest those interested to call Miguel Font direct in Carmina Paris +33 1 4296 5408 to place your order. It would be a breeze if you could speak French or Spanish.

Good luck

I speak French, but I don't think I'm in the market for cordovan wholecuts right now. What do we estimate they'd run, price-wise?
I would also be interested in the group buy but can we have an approximate usd estimate first. Thanks
post #53 of 67
yes! i have been asking a couple of times what the price is hear and no answer. but everyone is saying lets go get a group purchase!

but what is the price can we get first! inquiring minds like to know!

I think this is your answer on pricing from the 1st page of the thread.

Which is $693 at close of Fridays exchange rate.

Pretty good value.

thanks pkincy, didnt see that sorry.

anyways, $693 for each person, would they do a further discount for a bulk purchase like this?

so, if we are in USA, that would be $693 plus shipping plus possible duty split 8 ways or so, would we be looking at around $770 dollars here each person?

which is still a great price, if the carmina are as good as they look in the pictures.

glad to see the pricing info. sorry must have overlooked it. At that pricing I would appreicate being informed on a group buy if possible. thanks

I have received 2 C&J belts from P.lal, as well as a separate shipment of a pair of Weymouth, a pair of EGs from the sale in London and several shirts on Ebay from intl sellers and have yet to pay duty on any of it. It may happen but is not a common occurrence.

One point on the fit is the arch support. Instep is more a point on loafers, am supposed.

I regularly wear US 9 - 9.5, no idea about the width. I have a 11.5 from a thrift store, with arch support I wear him without any problem.

What happened to the group buy. Did it fall my the wayside?

I have tried to contact Carmina via e-mail twice with no luck. I am still interested in getting a pair, but if there is not enough interest or help from people who are on the ground or who have already dealt with Carmina, I may just quietly figure out a way to get a pair on my own.
