Do people wear toques?

It is winter time and it is cold and I have a toque and I put it on and I find I don't look so good in it. Makes me not want to wear it. But if I don't wear it then my head will get cold and I don't like that. I am usually against wearing any head wear at all since it covers my hair. But if I have to wear something on my head what else do you suggest to wear to keep the head warm?

You just have to find the right beanie I think. But you could also get a duffle coat or a down jacket with a down hood, the hoods on those jackets will keep your head pretty warm.

If you care about how you look when it's cold enough to be wearing a toque, you care too much.

Who knows - it might even look good depending on the outfit!

I have one in navy and one in brown that I alternate depending on what I'm wearing. Sure, it messes up my hair, but that's the least of my worries when it's -20C outside and snowing...

in Canada.

But most other places they call them a 'watch cap' , a 'beanie', or any number of other things.

Doesn't cover the ears.

I wear one during the winter. If it's that cold, then I tend to think that the people who aren't wearing them are the ones who look dumb.
