Dude. I'll meet you at the intersection of 8th and Ontario. Bring an empty sudoku book. My name is Andre.

Even if we disagree on the magnitude of cable effects, this is ass-backwards. A good cable does not alter sound. A bad cable does.

On the first point, it depends on the speaker design where the mid, upper mids, and highs are.

On the second point, I read his comments as asking if I think cables offer different sonic signatures which they do. Of course, a better cable will leave the signal alone or less altered. A better cable lets more of the music and detail through.

just so you know i havent actually read the above links thoroughly

but i also think this is bs perpetuated by the "audiophile" community

do a double blind test yourself with your sound recording studio and tell us how it goes

Dude, I have done many DBTs with cables which is the major factor in why I believe some sound better than others.

Fuck that, corner of 7th and Elm. And bring a full sudoku book. You'll need it. My name is Max. Max Power.

I bought a pair of audio technica headphones that are noise canceling for travel. They are by no means audiophile quality but they still sound damn good when plugged into an ipod and I would highly recommend them.
