I don't agree with this either, although most of those painted ladies turn my stomach. I think Downtown is beautiful if you're looking up, and I like the Federal building.

only tasteless, tacky colorful things, which does in fact include most of the art produced in san francisco.
I know several people who work at Google. A few years ago, in order to reduce costs, they tried to reduce the number of free cereals from something like a dozen to less than 10, and they wanted to stop stocking Smart Water. There was a huge uproar, so nothing happened. That's kind of like San Francisco in a bottle.
