I think I hate San Francisco. - Page 118

At the end of July I'll be staying with a friend at 14th/Mission for a few days. Is there anywhere safe and affordable for me to park? I could probably keep my car further away since I won't need to drive while I'm there.

There is a reasonably safe garage on Lexington, but I don't know the prices.

OK, there is an entrance at 21st and Lexington, but since you love petty arguments so much this must feel like a huge win to you.

I refuse to recognize the existence of a Lexington street in San Francisco. It's certainly nothing like the real one.

This person does not hate SanFo:

The sunrise over the city as viewed from Marin at about 1:50 is stunning. He apparently spent two years gathering all the footage for this video.

Well, this is more of an endorsement of Marin than San Francisco. The San Franciscans just saw murky gray. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

I've lived here for 40 years and I still get tingles approaching the bridge on the Marin side on a beautiful day. The rest of the city can suck a big turd, though.

Driving around Umbria and Tuscany was amazing but nothing comes close to driving Marin.

I thought you guys hated Marin, too? There is that part on 101 south when the bridge and the city come into view between the hills that is breathtaking. I love driving on the bridge too.

I love pretty much everything from Sausalito up to Point Reyes. Last time we were lost near the forest and drove into some secluded spiritual retreat though, and nobody would help us with directions or anything because they were having a "silent day." no joke.

My wife goes on retreats there. Try to imagine her silent for three days.
