I know a great place near Third and Oakdale.

Also, the Western Addition is great if you surf. There's even a condo complex there named for Nolan Miller.

I hate Saison, or at least their PR machine which seemed to indicate that you could just show up and get the bar tasting menu, but no even though the place was half-empty on a Friday night it took 10 minutes sitting at the bar to find out that there was no food for me. The beer scene overall seems un-evolved from my last visit a few years ago and pretty lame, esp. per-capita. (I did not hate Fog Harbor on Pier 39 for seafood.)
