Some dude from my group who lives in SF just accepted a job here at the mothership. I'm like, WTF? He's out there all alone, hardly any supervision, can do whatever he wants, living in paradise, and he comes back to this s-hole voluntarily to be bossed around amidst all that "new york magic"?

Idiot.

Infested BART: Inspection Reports Reveal Serious Pest Problems

Trying to keep BART stations clean is akin to bailing out the Titanic with a shot glass.

For starters, you've got folks using elevators and escalators as their own personal toilets. Then there are the rats and the pigeons, skittering and swooping and excreting willy-nilly. It's enough to drive a station agent bonkers, as we discovered recently when we examined a stack of station inspection reports.

Anybody know of any of the underground dinner parties SF has? Bourdain and Zimmern had shows on them.

I've only been to mission chinese for lunch time... but I'm never disappointed. As long as you're game for eating tongue, cheek, lamb belly etc I don't think you can go wrong. You don't feel like crap afterwards which is a huge plus and usually happens to me at other "chinese" establishments. Heard it can be a bit of a wait at night and they do not take reservations, so don't plan to get right in.

What I dislike about SF is the quality of women. Being a foreigner who lived in many parts of the world, SF has the ugliest girls I have ever seen. I'm not good looking either, but I like to meet hotties. There should be place where cute girls hang out in SF. I have been to Marina, Polk ST, Soma, Downtown and Haight, and I have only met one local girl that was hot. The rest are tourist or out of State.

If someone can point to where should I hang out I will be great full.

If I have a choice, I would move to San Diego, Austin or Santa Monica instead of L.A
